Administrator Selection
Knowing the right mix of personnel to use to administer a physical inventory can be tough. With our years of experience, we have created a quick guide to help you figure out the right number of team members and scanners needed.
Multiple Parts Wizard's can be used during your physical inventory to update and make adjustments. This increases efficiencies by allowing multiple people to make adjustments simultaneously. We suggest that you have one person as the administrator and responsible for everything that is done on this dashboard.
Variance Counter & Recorder
Normally you have a counter and a recorder teamed up to count bins. By using the scanners, you can change that to just one person scanning and eliminate the need for a manual counter and recorder to work as a team. This can help reduce the amount of personnel needed to complete the inventory.
Scanner Selection
An average user can scan $70,000 - $90,000 of inventory in an 6hr period. Assuming you have a fairly clean inventory with few bin changes or write-ins. This is just an average that we use as a guide to help you better figure out how many scanners to rent so that you can do your inventory in a timely manner. A more manicured warehouse or larger wholesale dealer may require fewer scanners, so you can determine which way you may need to go.
Software Benefits
A benefit of using the scanner with our software is that once a bin is scanned, you instantly have a variance report for the bin. This allows a person(s) to print off a variance report and manually check and adjust the counts within our software. By doing the 2nd count (variance count) as other are still scanning, will save time and keep everyone engaged and working. We suggest having a variance counter for approximately every 4-6 scanners rented. This is based on an average clean inventory, so base your scenario accordingly.
